The look of the new terminal building of Veer Savarkar International Airport located in Port Blair will fascinate anyone. After the commencement of this world-class terminal built at a cost of Rs 710 crore, connectivity in Andaman and Nicobar will increase.
With a total area of about 40,800 square metres, the terminal building will be able to handle about 5 million passengers annually. Now parking of 10 aircraft can also be done at the same time in Port Blair Airport.
Due to Port Blair being a very popular place for tourists, now there will be a boost in the tourism sector and the pace of employment and economy in the area will also be better.
PM Narendra Modi will inaugurate the new integrated terminal building of Veer Savarkar International Airport at Port Blair tomorrow i.e. on July 18 at 10:30 am through video conference. Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya M. Scindia will also be present in this inauguration ceremony.
